THE PEACE OF MIND
07/04/2022
Living in the life some people aimlessly singing, some people wandering aimlessly, some people binge drinking, some people spent themselves on making money, earning fame... and he, what is he looking for?!
Once, the clumsy ego uttered that self-confident question, and then repeated it until one day, the answer begins to be reveal, which is also the day Kien Binh Minh Company was established and the day the journey of "Haptic Eyeglasses" begin to reach the blind community.
Giving birth is not as hard as nurturing, but even with constant questioning, Mr. Nguyen Huu Qui - founder of Kien Binh Minh - still smiles and answers softly: "His mother could not see in the past" and up until now, he still answers the same way when every time someone asks.
Gather up a little yellow of sunshine
Lighting up life to relieve the pain
As the journey of Kien Binh Minh begins, more than a thousand of "Haptics eyeglasses" travel all over the provinces of Viet Nam to the blind community. The eyeglasses had gone through nine different versions with the initial price of the product was at a miracle of 850 usd, but now, it has been made much more approachable to support the blind community in Vietnam.
As people say: "Sadness when shared, it will be lessened, joy when shared, it will be doubled". Mr. Qui has been walking silently with the "Haptic eyeglasses" all these years. He empathizes the disadvantages in the lives of many others, understanding them in a broad sense, and more or less bringing the dawn to the unfortunate fates. The number of people he has helped, nobody knows. Many newspapers, radio, and television ask for interviews but he often rejects. Figures do not matter but the important point is that his care for the community can be viewed from different perspectives. He makes sacrifices, and pursues his willingness to help the community. And as a person of Christianity, his work exhibits charity, altruism, and religious belief.
Gently, he speaks to everyone, "It has been accomplished." It is the day when the Prime Minister decides to "order" 300,000 eyeglasses and gives free to the blind community in Vietnam.
The phrase "It has been accomplished", beside the meaning of social service, it also carries a meaning of paying off a debt each of us has enjoyed and gained from the society. Kien Binh Minh now has transferred the entire "Haptic eyeglasses" project to Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and Education to continue its development. The Ministry of Science and Technology and the University have signed an independent contract on a national level with the aim to research and complete the design, build electronic Haptic eyeglasses that can protect the blind from obstacles. The total expense for the development project is estimated to be around 5.57 billion VND. In the near future, "Haptic eyeglasses" will no longer have physical wires and can make phone calls, can help the blind see color, and able to listen to music....
Although with the phrase "It has been accomplished", from the eyes of Mr. Qui, many questions, desires, and passions... still emerge with new ideas, a renewal, a new beginning for the cause of social service. Life is a collision and we are entitled to doubt. A swallow cannot create spring, but it can make a life to remember...
Personally, I find something really interesting: doing Charity is harder than doing Business. Therefore, I would like to dedicate to Mr. Qui, as well as the social workers, the poet of Emily Dickinson's "Not in Vain" :
If I could stop a despairing soul
I will live a useful life
If I could make the pain go away
Or ease someone's sadness
If I could comfort the thin, pale Nightingale
Until the day I can return to my home
I will live a life worth living.
Another news
What do you see after the past volunteer trips? Is not seeing the things around that people call fame. Only see love when sharing each other pieces. Is it a piece of cake, a sweater or a pair of forest sandals. What do you see beside the cheers ? It's a picture of a 5-year-old boy carrying his brother who is thirsty for milk. In that area, people must find ways for a proper meal ? YES. That is right. The children in the highlands are still suffering!
With the help of Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union, on August 26, Kien Vuong comes and hands over 300 sets of clothes, 300 plastic slippers and 3000 notebooks and sweets to poor students overcoming difficulties in 2 districts Thach Ha and Can Loc belong to Ha Tinh province. In order for timely gifts to reach children in the new school year, it is thanks to the cooperation with local authorities to search for students with difficult circumstances but have the will to study and practice well. The overriding goal is still to make sure the help goes to the right place, to the right person, and really means something to the recipients.
We can't have enough strength to change the situation, overcome the difficulties for teachers and students, just hope to contribute with the teachers to "retain" the children to stay at the school to study properly, so that the students will be the ones to draw a bright future for themselves!
