The place has the harshest climate, often suffers from natural disasters, storms and floods all year round. Where Kien Vuong has many times accompanied local mass organizations to carry out charity programs. And the journey to visit the Chut ethnic people this time too, the warmth and the most meaningful gifts of Kien Vuong were shared.

03/12/2022: The small zigzag road from the center of Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province to Rao Tre village (Huong Lien commune) is about 20km long. Through many ramps, looming along the roadside are houses in the middle of Ka Day mountain, Group Kien Vuong arrived at the village of Chut ethnic minority.

Although they have been encouraged by the border guards to migrate to more spacious houses, some Chut people still maintain the habit of living in their old residence near the forest.

 

Coming to the Chut ethnic group, where 31 years ago (1991) in a cave on the Truong Son mountain range of the Vietnam-Laos border, the border guards discovered that there were only 20 Chut people living. An ethnic group that almost went extinct, so far it has grown to 46 households in Rao Tre village, Huong Lien commune, Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province.

According to officials from the provincial Youth Union, the situation of inbreeding marriage has decreased significantly but still exists; Along with the difficulties in daily life, children of Chut ethnic group will also be much smaller than ordinary children. 

 

The Chut people have 2 Tet holidays in a year, this is the most unique activity of the Chut people: Tet Lap Lo on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month, meaning "plugging holes, sowing seeds", signaling completion of sowing and pruning. On the fields and the Cham Cha Boi New Year on the 12th day of the 11th lunar month, the meaning is the New Year of rice, held to give thanks to heaven and earth for the favorable rain and wind, bountiful crops, and proliferating children. and welcome the new season. With the desire to bring warmth and meaningful gifts to help the Chut ethnic people welcome the Cham Cha Boi New Year with more warmth and joy, at 9:00 a.m. on December 3, Kien Vuong cooperated with Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union to present 34 gifts for preschool children and primary school students, and 46 gifts for households of Chut ethnic group. The gifts include: warm clothes, warm blankets, notebooks, confectionery, rice, monosodium glutamate, cooking oil, fish sauce and monosodium glutamate.

At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 46 gifts to households.

 

The program also awarded 52 gifts to students of Chut ethnic group

In order for timely gifts to reach children in the new school year, it is thanks to the cooperation with local authorities to search for students with difficult circumstances but have the will to study and practice well. The overriding goal is still to make sure the help goes to the right place, to the right person, and really means something to the recipients.
