1001 WARM CLOTHS COME TO THE CHILDREN IN DIEN BIEN

Another winter is approaching, continuing on the journey to bring warmth to children in the highland, the next stop of Kien Vuong this time is Dien Bien - which is considered the "poor navel" of the country. According to 2016 data, Dien Bien province has the highest poverty rate in the country with 44.82%. People's lives, which are already in poverty, are even more difficult when they have to bear the heavy consequences of terrible floods. Tuan Giao is a mountainous district of Dien Bien province, about 450km from Hanoi. According to the narration of Mr. Do Van Nhat (a member of Kien Vuong delegation), to get to Tuan Giao, you have to cross a bumpy and difficult pass with a cliff on one side and a deep abyss on the other. The people here are mainly Thai ethnic people, living by farming on the hillsides and cliffs. That's why a year-round life with enough food and clothing is already lucky, so the children's education has not been paid enough attention. The conditions for the children to go to school are therefore more difficult, not to mention the school's facilities are still lacking. Most of the children learn just to know the letters. Many children study at middle school have to drop out of school midway. Teachers have to regularly go from house to house to convince their parents for their children to continue going to school.
The pictures cannot describe the hardships of the children in the highlands, but only when coming to the place can we truly feel that difficulty. For Mr. Nhat, although this is the 3rd time he has accompanied Mr.Qui and Ms. Hien on a volunteer journey, this trip still leaves him with many indescribable impressions and emotions. "Knowing that there are still many difficult situations and needing help, however, helping some children who are still going to school in the whole Quai Nua commune made the whole group feel very relieved. A whole package of gifts was carefully sorted in 3 hours with the help of many newcomers and send it to the children with the utmost care. All 3 schools in the commune are very happy, even the parents. The clothes are new so everyone likes it, the day of the gift giving is like a festival for children and parents." - Mr.Nhat shares.
With the help of Dien Bien Provincial Youth Union, on October 28, Kien Vuong gives warm sleeves and plastic slippers to 1,011 students at 3 schools: Quai Nua Secondary School, Quai Nua Primary School, and Quai Nua Primary School. School No. 2 Quai Nua, Tuan Giao district. With the desire to somewhat alleviate the severe cold of the border winter, giving them strength to go to school with a peace of mind, in addition to warm clothes, Kien Vuong also brings 320 warm blankets and 320 single curtains, beside that, Kien Vuong also supports the school with some necessities. Hopefully these will be practical gifts for the children in the coming winter. Saying goodbye to Tuan Giao, Kien Vuong continues on the journey to many other difficult schools across the country to share with students a hard part of life.

Is it a piece of cake, a sweater or a pair of forest sandals. What do you see beside the cheers ? It's a picture of a 5-year-old boy carrying his brother who is thirsty for milk. In that area, people must find ways for a proper meal ? YES. That is right. The children in the highlands are still suffering!
With the help of Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union, on August 26, Kien Vuong comes and hands over 300 sets of clothes, 300 plastic slippers and 3000 notebooks and sweets to poor students overcoming difficulties in 2 districts Thach Ha and Can Loc belong to Ha Tinh province. In order for timely gifts to reach children in the new school year, it is thanks to the cooperation with local authorities to search for students with difficult circumstances but have the will to study and practice well. The overriding goal is still to make sure the help goes to the right place, to the right person, and really means something to the recipients.
We can't have enough strength to change the situation, overcome the difficulties for teachers and students, just hope to contribute with the teachers to "retain" the children to stay at the school to study properly, so that the students will be the ones to draw a bright future for themselves!
